Magid Family Destin Vacation

This past week Trey and I got to spend some quality time with my family. Yep, all 6 original Magids and our now doubled family with spouses, Ryan’s girlfriend Meghan, and two little babies- Kevin and Alex. We rented a 5 bedroom condo at Silver Beach Towers across from the Track and Big Kahunas on the strip in Destin and had a great time! The week flew by like a minute and we were all so sad it came and went too fast. It's been so long that all of us were in the same place for that long and I was sad when David, Asli, Alex and Ryan had to leave to fly back to Houston and Albany.

It's hard to believe that with 10 adults and 2 babies we made it through the week without a hitch (only one slight hiccup over dinner plans one night) ;) ... but otherwise everyone just had such a good relaxing time catching up and spending time with the babies. We went out every night, took a waverunner tour, shopped til we dropped at the outlets, ate yummy seafood, played Mami's favorite card games, and even found time for a trip to the Track to ride the go carts and play some putt putt... eh hem- I won ;) It was such a fun week that I'm sure we'll do this again. I miss everyone already!

Here are some pictures (of many) that were taken this past week.

Awkward Family Photos

My friend Lula just shared this website with me and I had to pass it along. It's hilarious! http://awkwardfamilyphotos.com/

Look for the extra set of eyes...

Boot Camp... Check

Today and I can mark another one off my 30 before 30 list. I completed my first month long boot camp! I was so nervous when the camp started and didn't know what to expect but for the last 4 weeks I've gone 3 days a week (with hw assignments in between) and minus a few weekend meals that definitely defy their nutrition guidelines, I did it!

I have noticed a surge in energy over the last month and while the scale has only dropped a few lbs I feel a lot stronger and more toned in areas I was aiming for.

I am hoping to keep this going but the 7:30 am class is out next month since they didn't have enough people sign up and Stefanie just doesn't deal well with the thought of a 5:30 am. workout So, I'm going to try out the 6:45 pm and hope my work schedule will stay constant enough for me to make it to the classes.

If any of you ladies- or guys would like to join me, it's actually a lot of fun and you walk away from every class feeling exhausted and sweaty- but in a good accomplished way ;) Here's a link to their website. http://www.stepitupfitness.com/ The class I want to do next month meets Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 6:45- 7:45.

Babysitters

Sunday night after we got back from zip lining Trey and I helped out my brother Jon and sister in law Lisa and babysat my nephew Kevin for a few hours. Jon was on a Sunday night schedule and Lisa was working at the hospital. Usually my mom helps them out on days like that but she wasn't available which left Uncle Trey and Aunt Stef- not that I can complain. I love watching Kevin and he's such a sweet little boy and so well behaved. It's honestly so easy to watch him.

We took him up the pool and he was quite a hit with the ladies. That blonde hair, blue eyes and long eye lashes are definitely going to make him popular with the girls when he grows up.

He loved the pool and loved when Uncle Trey would throw him up in the air.

His pants kept making me laugh because he'd start walking and they'd fall right off his skinny little body. So I found a way to make them stay up so he wouldn't trip- a ribbon from one of my shirts. Not the most manly but it worked ;)

And- he was such a good little eater and loved Uncle Trey's grilled pork chops! I was so impressed he would sit in the chair next to me too- since he is clearly still small enough to need a high chair.

After seeing how great he was at the pool and hanging out with us alone it made me really excited for our family trip coming up in a few short weeks!
