Despite the wind and cold weather we all had a great time. Only two casualties of the night- my earing that Carrie Beth gave me for Christmas a few years ago fell out :( and Trey's dad lost his new hat.

Jimmy Buffett
After 3 years of not being able to go see Jimmy Buffett in concert because he always came to town during my law school finals- I was finally able to go. Trey and I drove down with his brother Cameron and his dad and met up with our good friends Sean, Ashley, Val and Noah.

Wedding Season 2010 Has Arrived!
As many of you know, I'm a sucker for weddings. I love everything about them- the planning, the decor, the food, the dancing, and especially... the parties! I always love it when wedding season hits and looks like this one is shaping up to be a busy one for us. Trey and I have 3 weddings to go to in one week starting May 29th. Some of our great friends are tying the knot and we can't wait to help them celebrate.
Last Saturday we kicked off the showers for my best friend Kelsey who's getting married in Atlanta on June 5th. All of the bridesmaids helped plan a kitchen shower for Kels. We all had a great time and she got so many good gifts. Can't wait to stand by her on her big day!

Daddy's Birthday/ Girl's Night
And, last night we had our monthly girl's night out at this fun painting place called Just for Giggles. It's a cute idea if you're looking for a party for girls. You just pay $30 at the door and they give you a canvas, paint and brushes and you follow the instructions of the teacher to paint whatever painting is featured for that day. It was neat to see how differently we each interpreted the instructions.
Thanks Lizzi for planning such a fun night!
Look at the girl concentrate...

Marfan and Cuban
So, I was searching for a picture tonight and came across this shot of my best friend Maggie and I when we took dancing lessons together as kids. I remembered taking a picture with Maggie last weekend at our other best friend Kelsey's bachelorette party weekend in the same order so I put them up next to each other and it made me laugh. My my my how we've changed! I can't get over our teeth!
It's actually a cute story of how Maggie and I became friends. The truth is, when we posed for that dance picture we didn't even know each other. We were just always placed in the back row in all our dance group shots since we were the tallest girls... always.
(Which brings me to my sidenote: I usually call Maggie Marfan or Marfie for short after she and Kels learned what a marfan was in AP Biology at Marist... basically it's a disease that tall people have which causes them to have long appendages... haha... and for those of you who don't know- Kelsey and Marfan always call me Cuban since we all had a friend who got a kick out of the way my mom said my name with a Spanish accent. Don't worry, Kelsey wasn't left out- we lovingly call her fatass ;) ... my dad always thought she got the short end of the stick with that one but if you've met her, you know the name doesn't literally match the girl. The names have somehow stuck through the years)
Anyway, Marfan and I danced together for years but didn't know each other because we didn't go to school together. We just lived close and happened to enroll in the same small dance studio in Tucker. We stopped dancing when we were young and I didn't bump into her again until I was taking a break at Marist soccer camp the summer before I started my freshman year of high school. I saw two blonde girls that I thought I recognized from somewhere and I asked this other blonde girl if she danced at Dance for Joy Studio when she was young. She said no, but Marfie overheard me ask her and chimed in that she had. Turns out the other girl used to go to elementary school with me way back when too. It's a small world, but Marfan and I became great friends that year and the rest is history...

T minus 3 weeks!
It's getting so close we can hardly contain ourselves! I find myself planning out where I'm going to place our furniture (and what items I'd love to buy to place in our new home ;) all the time. Trey and I have loved living in the Dunwoody area across from Perimeter mall because it's so convenient and close to everything, but we are super excited about the move which will be here in 3 short weeks!!!

The master bathroom...
Our foyer light...
Dining room (which I plan to add some shades to)...
I love the island pendants we chose but feel like they need to lower them a little bit...
Kitchen table...
We can't get over how fast they've put up the house. It basically has everything done except for the floors (as far as my novice eyes can tell). And- since we have a corner lot we got some extra trees planted in our yard. They did such a nice job with our landscaping. I guess that means we need to save up for a lawnmower now. Not sure the Homeowner's Association would like us much if we didn't cut our grass ;)
Here are some more shots of the outside and finally a few sneak peaks of the inside (not all of these inside shots are up to date. They've actually already finished the backsplash in the kitchen and installed the shower in the master bath too but I didn't have pictures of that.

Bachelorette Party!!!!
Last week was so much fun getting to spend time with my best friends Maggie and Kelsey at the beach. Kelsey is finishing up her last year of med school at MCG and is getting married in June so she had some friends down to her parent's beach house in Gulf Shores, Alabama. We had the bachelorette party on the last weekend.
Since I had the time I went down early and got to spend a few days at the beach. While it was overcast and a little windy some days it was still amazing and it was the perfect escape. We all had so much fun and found a new favorite song. Let's just say, Rude Boy by Rihanna was the theme song of the week...

I can't wait for Kelsey's wedding. She's going to be a beautiful bride! :)
Sorry all the pictures are in reverse. I haven't mastered this blogging thing yet.

Family Time!
So Trey and I have been busy lately. Here's a little recap...
Easter weekend was a blast. David, Asli and Ryan came to town and I finally got to meet my nephew Alex. He's so cute and it was so fun seeing both of the babies together for the first time.
My friend Jen, who is an amazing photographer came over while all the family was in town to take pictures of everyone together for the first time. Can't wait to see her professional pics- but these are a couple I got. Here's her website if you want to check her out: http://www.atfirstsightphotography.com/
On Easter Sunday, Alex was baptized and Ryan and I were the godparents. What a special day for a baptism :)
Finally, this past weekend was Harper's first birthday. I was so sad to miss it and missed seeing the Spivey family in town, but I know Trey had so much fun spending time with his family. I'll have to post pictures from the party when Trey gets around to giving me some. Boys... ;)
Cousins make great friends...
