This past Saturday Trey turned 31 and what else would one want to do on their 31st birthday, then to head to the North Georgia Orchards?! Right? ;) Actually, Trey had mentioned how he wanted to visit one for awhile and it was the perfect way to spend the day with our little family and celebrate his birthday in a low key way. While it might have been a little nicer up there if it hadn't been so hot, it was still neat to visit and see the curious faces Sophia was making taking in all she was seeing. Shoot, it was even a spectacle for Trey and I to see all the country folk in attendance riding wagon rides around the property, watching pig races, milking cows, touring a Moonshine museum and eating lots and lots of fried apple treats. We managed to refrain form overindulging but did buy some jam, pie and a whole lot of apples. They sure are tasty.
We made it home in time see the Dawgs barely pull off a win (Thank God because it made Trey happy on his birthday) and then we headed to Noche in Vinings for Trey's birthday dinner. Sophia was great throughout the whole day and was such a trooper. She really is our traveling baby and as Trey said, "she don't slow us down." I should probably add... yet ;)
It was such a great day and we love you Trey! Happy Birthday!!!

Trey's choice for lunch on the way up. A famous bbq joint in Ellijay. It was pretty tasty.

Wouldn't have been my pick for a birthday lunch but Trey loved it! It did have cool ambiance about it and the food lived up to the hype.

She was so excited to tour the Moonshine museum. Can't you tell?

What orchard would be complete without a John Deere tractor around?
Yea!!! Happy Birthday, Trey! I'm so glad you all had a fun day. Isn't it fun to do this kind of stuff with a little one in tow. I was actually thinking of taking the kids on Sunday to an apple orchard since Robby is going to be working. Might have to try this one!
